Gekatex Audit and R&D Centre opens in 2008

In an interview to the press Mrs. Chengxiu Gu, MD of the Gekatex China branch revealed the company’s latest plans to open a brand new research and development centre in the city of Guangzhou heart of industrial China zone.
Supported by acquisition moves to Asian Regions by worldwide leading automotive OEM’s Gekatex agreed with Volkswagen Group Purchasing Department in Wolfsburg as well as PSA Purchase Group in Poissy to further strengthen their services offered to both groups in the year to come. We wish to expand these to other OEM partners interested to join in and take the best out of the opportunities provided by this new Gekatex service.
The new Service Company will offer following fields of competence to their customers :
- R&D of new fibre technologies used in non woven materials and technical textiles
- Quality Audit on raw materials at site during and after production of products chosen
- Import of finished goods for use by end users in their Asian plants
- Export assistance of raw materials and finished goods at competitive rates ex Asian countries
- Technical application and testing support on line in your plant
- Legal advice on imports and usage of Asian made products
- Fiscal and Financial Consultancy to optimise imports and exports to your foreign based sister plants and cost-in-use calculations for optimal overall cost savings
A team of experts will be part of the group network members living in most of the Asian/Pacific Region. Agreements have already been set up with companies and Technical High Schools in China, Malaysia, Thailand and India covering raw material sourcing for Gekatex customer base and other third parties wishing to use Gekatex services.
The new Company Headquarters will be situated in Guangdong Province and investments plans have been initiated to create employment and reserve space for 40 associates. Meanwhile in the Qingyuan plant offices are being opened for 16 people today with the target to welcome 10 specialised surface and coatings technology students from the Zuhai Technical Institute this summer. The ISCA (International Surface and Coatings Association) has been founded in close cooperation with Mr. Long Peng Preident of Long Initiatives, China’s leading after market distributor covering the nation.
Senior members and associates will complete the group offering consultancy services to those European , African and Arab Companies interested to import goods from reliable Asian resources.
