5th March 2008 GEKATEX granted new buffing pads contract to VW Wolfsburg and continue their march into Asia to compete with Japan’s leading OEM suppliers.
Gekatex top priority focus goes to the development of new polishing and surface treatment systems for automotive OEM. Thanks to competitive Asian sourcing structures and newest product developments , Gekatex has started first supply of newly developped buffing pads to VW Group in Germany and Latin America. First week of March intensive testing programs have also lead to the innovation of dual fibre pads with finest wool and microfibre technologies all combined into one single step polishing pads and compound systems.
Gekatex started their launch of this brand new technology with focus on ASEAN countries, Korea and Japan and was also awarded with orders from China’s top OEM manufacturers for their innovative DLW DUO and DLW Classic Pads. Product launches were performed with testing programs in Malaysia, Thailand and several Chinese OEM plants who in the mean time placed their immediate first orders for thousands of pads to be supplied in the next coming weeks.
